There are several types of magnets
There are many types of magnets. Generally divided into two categories of permanent magnet and soft magnetic. We refer
to the magnet, generally refers to the permanent magnet.
Permanent magnets are divided into two categories:
The first category: metal alloy magnet, including NdFeB magnet Samarium cobalt magnet, Alnico magnet
The second category: ferrite permanent magnet
1, NdFeB magnet: it is the strongest magnet magnet, known as the magnetic king, has a very high magnetic properties of its
maximum energy product over 10 times higher than ferrite. NdFeB mechanical processing performance is very good. Operating
temperature up to 200 degrees Celsius. But also to hard, stable performance, a very good price, it is widely used in various
industries. But because of its strong chemical activity, it must be the surface coating. (Such as Zn, Ni, epoxy, etc.).
2. Ferrite magnets: the main raw materials include Ba0 or Sr0 and Fe203. Because the ferrite magnets have good temperature
resistance, low cost, moderate performance, has become the most widely used permanent magnets. It is made of ceramic
technology, hard texture, is a brittle material.
3. AlNiCo magnets: aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron and other trace metals consisting of an alloy. Casting process can be
processed into different sizes and shapes, machinability is very good. Cast aluminum nickel cobalt permanent magnet has a
minimum reversible temperature coefficient, the working temperature can be as high as 600 degrees Celsius. AlNiCo permanent
magnet products are widely used in various instrumentation and other applications.
4, SmCo magnets. Because of its expensive materials and its development is limited. SmCo as a rare earth permanent magnet, not only has a high energy product, reliable coercivity and good temperature characteristics. Compared with NdFeB magnets, samarium
cobalt magnet is more suitable for working in high temperature environments.
